Buying Rx cycling sunglasses I visited a bike shop and called two others.
They all sold cycling sunglasses but had confusing answers on how to get the kind with Rx inserts. One said they didn sell it. One said you had order them special from the manufacturer oakley deals and directed me to try an eye wear store instead. I had a similar answer from a third. None oakley green sunglasses of them sounded like they were very familiar with selling Rx cycling sunglasses. I not even sure which eye wear stores would sell them. Is this not a common problem? Do most people just ride around blind? How do people oakley half jacket shop for these? The ideal way I would like to do this would be to just buy the sunglasses with the empty insert and have my prescription filled at my preferred eye wear store. I have a high prescription and require high index lenses and prefer to shop around since they are very expensive. Is it possible to do this? Do I have to have the manufacturer fill my prescription for me? I could buy them online but I would prefer to try them on first. Potato quality pic here. These are actually my second pair, I lost the first one. Nice fit, good eye coverage, and good lenses too. It not very clear in the pic but they a slightly mirrored gold finish. My last ones were mirrored blue.
Yes, they not quite Oakleys, but they do the job well. Been wearing them out riding in the evenings recently, and they great. Wraps round quite a lot oakley minute and keeps the sun and the wind out.
